A Sardinian Dinner with Wine Pairing

Our goal for this class is to teach you not only how to make a few dishes from the wonderful Island of Sardinia but we will also pair the food with wines from Sardinia. Our friend Fabio Pibiri will also talk about the wines of Cantina del Bovale and you may taste the wines and if you want you may buy a few bottles for your house.

What you will learn:

  • How to poach seafood

  • How to make Sardinian Gnocchi

  • Rolling out flat bread

  • How to sweat an onion properly

  • How to peel and seed a tomato

  • Balancing Flavors

  • General Knife Skills

  • Meal organization

The Menu:

  • Marinated Seafood Salad

  • Pane Carasau

  • Malloreddus (Sardinian Gnocchi) with Saffron Tomato Sauce

  • Seadas - Traditional Pastry with Honey and Pecorino Cheese

Optional

  • A Tasting of Sardinian Wines from Cantina del Bovale

  • Spumante, Vermentino, and Cannonau Wines

What’s Included:

  • All cutlery and ingredients needed to prep and create the dishes

  • Recipe cards

Please note that you will be standing and cooking for up to 2 hours. We advise that you wear comfortable clothing and shoes.
